Gelastocoris willineri (De Carlo, 1954) View in CoL
Geographical distribution: Brazil and Paraguay.
Distribution in Brazil: Central-West Region (MT) ( Schnack & Estévez 1979; Heckman 1998).
Nerthrinae (1 genus, 12 species)
Nerthra Say, 1832 (12 species)
Comments: Nerthra fuscipes (Guérin-Méneville, 1844) was recorded from Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, by Todd (1955). As the species is known only from southern United States to Panama and Colombia, and Todd (1961) him-
self expressed doubts about the occurrence of the species in Brazil, the record is not considered valid here. This erroneous record has been repeated by Ribeiro et al. (2010).
