Geographical distribution: Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina.
Distribution in Brazil: North, Central-West, and Southeast regions (PA, AM, GO, SP) ( White 1879b; Lundblad 1929a; Deay 1935; Hungerford 1948; Nieser & Melo 1997).
Comments: Nieser & Melo (1997) mentioned collecting representatives of this species in SP, near the border with MG, and that it could probably occur in the latter state.
