Geographical distribution: Brazil, Bolivia and Argentina. The recent record from Colombia ( Morales-Castaño & Molano-Rendón 2008) needs confirmation.
Distribution in Brazil: Southeast Region (MG) ( Melo & Nieser 2004).
Comments: This species probably also occurs in Central-West Region (MT, MS). Poi de Neiff (2003) reported the occurrence of the species along the Paraguay River, and some of the collecting stations were located on these two Brazilian states.
