Distribution in Brazil: Southeast and South regions (MG, RS) ( De Carlo 1951; Melo & Nieser 2004; Neri et al. 2005; Pelli et al. 2006; Souza et al. 2006).

Comments: De Carlo (1951) recorded the species from “Escaramuça, Brasil,” under the synonym C. montei De Carlo, 1951 , based on material collected by Oscar Monte. Despite every effort made, the determination of the geographic location of the collecting site was not possible.
