Geographical distribution: Suriname and Brazil.
Distribution in Brazil: North Region (AM) ( Pereira & Melo 2007).
Pleidae (2 genera, 3 species)
Neoplea Esaki & China, 1928 (3 species)
Comments: Nieser and Melo (1997) observed females from MG that they believed that could represent Neoplea argentina . Heckman (1998) and Souza et al. (2006) recorded the same species respectively from MT and MG, but also with doubts concerning the identification of the specimens. Bachmann (1968) observed a female from Nova Teutonia (SC) that he believed that could be a representative Neoplea borellii ( Kirkaldy, 1899) . These doubtful records are not considered on the present list.
