Notes:— Based on the morphological evidence of the following collection: GDGM7701 (holotype, from China, sequence data unavailable, referred to Bi & Li (1988) & Yang (2007)). This species is very similar to Macropsalliota subtropica (see below). Further studies are required to clarify the relationship between them.

Basionym:— Leucoagaricus majusculus T.K.A. Kumar & Manim., Mycotaxon 108: 390 (2009)

Notes:— Based on the morphological evidence of the following collection: K(M)158586 (holotype, from India, sequence data unavailable, referred to Kumar & Manimohan (2009)). A collection annotated as “ Leucoagaricus cf. majusculus ” (MFLU09-0164, from Thailand, sequence data available from HM488764 (ITS), referred to Vellinga et al. (2011)) was also located in the genus Macropsalliota in our phylogeny ( Fig. 2 ).
