Family Kalliapseudidae Lang, 1956 View in CoL
Amendments from Guţu (2001). Maxilliped palp usually absent. Pereopod 1 dactylus with unguis (with or without setae), or without unguis but not with numerous acicular hairs (brush–like). Pereopods 1–4 with normal or modified dactylus, having either long seta and a normal unguis or without setae and very thin and long unguis. Pereopods four and five usually with exopods in the manca stage.
Subfamily Hemikalliapseudinae Gu ţ u, 1972
(Modified after Guţu 2001) Antennule biramous, with multiarticulated inner flagellum. Antenna with four or five articles to peduncle. Mandible with three-articulated palp. Cheliped without numerous and long plumose setae on the carpus and propodus; exopodite present or absent. Pereopod 1 with dactylus having one, two or many setae or one thick spiniform seta and claw; exopodite present or absent. Dactylus of pereopods 2–5, together with claw, long and thin, with or without setae.
