Distribution: India ( Karnataka , West Bengal, Andaman Islands); Borneo; China; Fiji; Indonesia (Java); Japan; Philippine Islands; Sabah; Sabah; Sri Lanka; Taiwan; Thailand; Sabah; Hawaii; Vietnam; Asia Minor; North America; North Africa ( Robinson et al. 1994; Pawan et al. 2008; Koçak & Kemal 2012; Nedoshivina 2013).
Hosts: This species has been reported from Cyperus spp. and Kyllinga spp. ( Cyperaceae ) ( Fletcher 1932; Diakonoff 1968, 1982, 1989; Clarke 1976; Zimmerman 1978).
Illustrations: Adult ( Nedoshivina 2013: 225; Diakonoff 1968: 420) and genitalia ( Clarke 1958: 315, 1976: 70).
