Diagnosis. Body black, without distinct metallic reflections; clypeal margin not incised (cf. Figs 1–2); F3–F5 large, with sensilla (Fig. 3); mesosoma distinctly convex (Fig. 9); pecten occupying about 2/3–3/4 length of hind tibia (cf. Fig. 15); forewing without bare area between R and apical margin, basal cell almost completely pilose (Fig. 20). Male with eyes very large (cf. Fig. 2) and tibial pecten complete (cf. Fig. 16).

Ch. Ferriere det ɗ’, ‘B. M. TYPE HYM. 5.3453’ (head missing, antennae glued on card) ( BMNH).

Distribution. Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Romania, Sweden, U.K. ( Noyes 2003); newly recorded for Slovakia.
