Hypulus californicus Van Dyke. Klamath Co. , 17 mi. SW Ft. Klamath, 26VI72, D.E. Foster, on Ceanothus sp. (WFBM). The generic placement of this species is incorrect, but the correct generic assignment is uncertain ( Pollock 2002). A general statement in Pollock (2002) indicates this species is known from Oregon. However, our record is the first vouchering of H. californicus from Oregon.
