1. Gaster completely dark brown to black, without any yellow areas.............................................. 2

2. Antennal funicle with all segments less than 2× as long as broad; clava short, apparently 2× as long as broad (collapsed?) (scutellum with polygonal reticulate sculpture in middle third, the cells becoming larger laterally and in lateral fourth elongatereticulate; legs yellow, with mid and hind coxae, and outer margin of hind femur and tibia brown or brownish) ( Morocco)........................................................ - Antennal funicle with at least some segments 2× or more as long as broad; clava at least about 3× as long as broad....... 3

3. Legs, including fore coxae, yellowish white except mid coxa brownish in about basal half on ventral surface, and hind coxa brown to dark brown; scutellum sculptured, except smooth posterior fifth; fore wing with postmarginal vein at least as long as marginal vein ( Fig. 23 ). (antenna with F3–F5 each about 2× as long as broad, F1, F2 and F6 each less than 2× as long as broad; scutellum with raised sculpture, polygonal in about anterior third, slightly elongate posteriorly, but becoming fine in posterior fourth, and sides with elongate-reticulate sculpture, Fig. 24 ) ( Iran).............................. - Legs, including fore coxae, yellow or pale brownish yellow except mid coxa at least on ventral surface, hind coxa and hind femur except apices, dark brown; scutellum sculpture restricted at most to anterior three-fourths, posterior fourth smooth ( Fig. 8 ); fore wing with postmarginal vein clearly shorter than marginal vein ( Fig. 7 ).................................... 4

4. Antenna with scape almost completely pale yellow with only a pale brown mark dorsally about halfway along length; legs yellow, with mid and hind coxae dark brown, and hind femur brown; antennal funicle with F2, F5 and F6 each about 1.5× as long as broad; F3 and F4 each 2× as long as broad; scutellum in anterior two-thirds with polygonally reticulate sculpture, but becoming very slightly elongate on sides and posteriorly ( India)............................ - Antennal scape dark brown with about apical third pale yellow ( Fig. 5 ); legs yellow, with mid coxa on ventral surface brown, and hind coxa and hind femur, except apices, dark brown; scutellum with anterior three-fourths with sharp polygonal reticulate sculpture, and lineolate-reticulate towards sides ( Fig. 8 ) ( Iran).................................. 5. Legs, including coxae, yellow to pale yellow; antenna with F2–F5 each at least 2× as long as broad; F1 shorter than F2 ( Fig. 35 ); scutellum anteriorly with raised reticulate sculpture, in medial third slightly elongate-reticulate and laterally with lineolate-reticulate sculpture ( Fig. 38 ); gaster from base to cercal plates yellow, from cercal plates to apex dark brown ( Fig. 33 ) (Palaearctics; India; Pakistan)....................................................... - Legs yellow with mid and hind coxae, and outer margin of hind femur and tibia brown or brownish; antenna with all funicle segments less than 2× as long as broad; F1 subequal in length to F2; scutellum with polygonal reticulate sculpture in middle third, the cells becoming larger laterally and lateral fourth elongate-reticulate; gaster sometimes with intersegmental region yellow or TI–TIII orange yellow, TIV–TVI brown posteriorly, and TVII dark brown (females with completely dark brown gaster will key at couplet 2) ( Morocco).....................
