Murmyshia micans ( Pagenstecher, 1895) , comb. n.
( Figs 5–9 View Figures 1–8 View Figures 9–16 , 19, 20 View Figures 17–20 , 26 View Figures 25–29 )
Lithosia micans Pagenstecher, 1895 View in CoL , in Semon (Ed.), Zoologische Forschungreisen in Australien und dem Malayischen Archipel, 5: 213.
= Agylla dirabdus Rothschild, 1920 View in CoL , Journal of the Federated Malay States Museums, 8 (3): 110 (Type locality: Korinchi, West Sumatra ), syn. n.
Type material examined. Holotype of Agylla dirabdus ( Fig. 6 View Figures 1–8 ): female, “Sungei Kumbang, | Korinchi, W.Sum., | 4500 ft., April 1914.| (Robinson & Kloss).” / “ Agylla | dirabdus | Type Rothsch.” / “436” /
“ Rothschild | Bequest | B.M. 1939-1.” / red ring “ Type ” label / blue label “ Arctiidae | genitalia slide | No. 5189 ♀ ” / QR- code label with unique ID “NHMUK010401899” ( NHMUK) .
Additional material examined: series of specimens of both sexes from Malay Peninsula ( Malaysia) and the islands of Sumatra, Java and Bali ( Indonesia) ( MWM / ZSM and CKC) .
Note. In the 7 th volume of the fundamental series ‘The Moths of Borneo’ devoted to the Lithosiini, Holloway (2001) stated that “The Sumatran taxon dirhabdus [sic!] Rothschild is a Ghoria ”. However, the type specimen of the taxon is definitely a female of the species described from Java as Lithosia micans ( Pagenstecher 1895) thus, dirabdus is herein transferred to Murmyshia and the new synonymy is hereby introduced.
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 14.5–16.0 mm in males and 16.5–18.0 mm in females. Murmyshia micans is externally reminiscent of M. unifascia and the detailed comparison is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. Found in Sundaland (except for Borneo).
