Distribution: Argentina and Chile.
We examined the holotype photo of Neotaphos rachelis ( Lingafelter et al., 2010) , the two syntypes of Vianauragus hamaticollis deposited in MNHN, the original description of the genera and specimens of the MNRJ and MNHN collections. Both genera are monotypic and there are no characters to maintain Vianauragus as a different genus of Neotaphos .
