These males are labbeld as: " Oxybelus nov. spec. det. K.M. Guichard 1995". They are similar to Oxybelus quatuordecimnotatus JURINE , but the colouring is whitish and their mucro longer and distinctly emarginate.

The following 2 and 21 from tropical Africa could not be determined: Benin (2), Kenya (3), Malawi (1), Mozambique (2), R.S.A. (9), Sahara centr. (1), Senegal (1), Zambia (2, 1), Zimbabwe (1) and Tanzania (2).
The following specimens (16, 149) could not be determined either: Bulgaria (1), China (1), Italy (1), Iraq (1), Jordan (4, 5), Kazakhstan (29), Kyrgyzstan (3), Mongolia (3, 21), Morocco (2), Slovakia (1), Syria (1, 2), Tunisia (1), Tajikistan (3), Turkey (7, 33), Turkmenistan (1, 38) and Uzbekistan (7).
