( Figures 86–88 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 , 242–246 View FIGURES 237 – 246. 237 – 241 , 301 View FIGURE 301 )

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. nepalensis Miyatake, 1985 in dorsal color pattern, but can be distinguished from the latter by pronotum without large black spot and by smaller spots on elytra ( Fig. 86 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ).

Description. TL: 2.67–2.97 mm, TW: 2.54–2.84 mm, TH: 1.22–1.48 mm, TL/TW: 1.03–1.05; PL/PW: 0.40– 0.42; EL/EW: 0.83–0.86; HW/TW: 0.35; PW/TW: 0.62.

Head reddish brown, with mouthparts and antenna yellowish brown. Dorsal color pattern as follows ( Figs 86– 88 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ): Pronotum reddish brown, scutellum dark brown. Elytra predominantly yellowish brown, with moderately wide reddish band along lateral margin; band expanded at middle of lateral margin and at elytral apex. Elytra with 6 moderately large, black rounded spots disposed as follows: the largest two resting on middle and apex of elytral suture, the remaining four black spots slightly smaller, at middle of basal margin (touching margin) and on disc slightly beyond half length of elytron ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ). Underside reddish brown; meso- and metaventrite dark brown. Legs reddish brown.

Body almost circular in outline, hemispherical, shiny and glabrous. Head frontal punctures very fine and inconspicuous, with very short setae, interocular distance of eyes 0.64x head width ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 83 – 91. 83 – 85 ).

Pronotal punctures fine and dense, 0.5–1.0 diameters apart, with very short setae. Elytral punctures similar to those on pronotum. Elytral margins moderately explanate, entirely visible from above.

Prosternal punctures inconspicuous, with long sparse setae. Mesoventral surface mat and slightly shagreened, with sparse short setae. Metaventrite covered by coarse and dense punctures. Elytral epipleuron moderately broad, complete to apex, distinctly foveate to accommodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings well-developed.

Male genitalia: Penis short and stout, strongly curved, capsule with small inner process and without outer one, apex lamellar and pointed ( Fig. 243 View FIGURES 237 – 246. 237 – 241 ); tegmen with penis guide slightly longer than parameres, in lateral view long and slender, slightly bent in apical 1/2 length, then gradually tapering to apex ( Fig. 244 View FIGURES 237 – 246. 237 – 241 ); penis guide in ventral view elongate, widest at base, tapering to apex, apex round ( Fig. 245 View FIGURES 237 – 246. 237 – 241 ); parameres slender, almost straight, apex slightly expanded, with moderately long setae apically.

Female genitalia: Ovipositor elongate and narrowly triangular, styli highly reduced, each with several long terminal setae ( Fig. 246 View FIGURES 237 – 246. 237 – 241 ).
