Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished by weakly convex dorsum, pronotum dark red and the shape and distribution of four red spots on elytra ( Figs 32–34 View FIGURES 29 – 37. 29 – 31 ).
Description. TL: 2.24–2.87 mm, TW: 2.08–2.57 mm, TH: 1.05–1.15 mm, TL/TW: 1.08–1.12; PL/PW: 0.41– 0.45; EL/EW: 0.86–0.87; HW/TW: 0.36; PW/TW: 0.65.
Head dark red, with mouthparts yellowish brown. Pronotum red and scutellum black. Elytra dark brown to black, with narrow reddish brown lateral margins. Each elytron with two large dark red spots before and behind: the anterior spot very large, situated at about 1/3 the length from the elytral base and strongly transverse (not touching margin), the posterior spot at about 1/4 the length from the elytral apex, rounded and small ( Figs 32–34 View FIGURES 29 – 37. 29 – 31 ). Underside reddish black. Legs reddish brown.
Body almost circular in outline, hemispherical, shiny and glabrous. Head frontal punctures medium and densely distributed, 0.8–1.2 diameters apart, interocular distance 0.61x head width ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 29 – 37. 29 – 31 ).
Pronotal surface shining and glabrous, punctures fine and densely distributed, 0.5–1.2 diameters apart. Elytral surface polished, punctures similar to those on pronotum, 1.5–2.0 diameters apart. Elytral margins widely explanate, entirely visible from above.
Prosternum with inconspicuous punctures and scattered long setae. Mesoventral surface shining, punctures large, 1.0–1.5 diameters apart, with scattered short setae. Metaventrite broad and flat medially, coarsely densely punctate at center and guadually become sparser to sides. Elytral epipleuron broad and complete to apex, distinctly foveate to accomodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings well-developed.
Male genitalia: Penis long and slender, curved at middle, capsule broadening basally and with small inner process, apex pointed ( Fig. 155 View FIGURES 150 – 158. 150 – 153 ); tegmen with penis guide distinctly longer than parameres; in lateral view thin, widest at base, narrowing to apex, apex pointed and slightly curved ( Fig. 156 View FIGURES 150 – 158. 150 – 153 ); penis guide in ventral view slender, widest at apical 2/5, strongly narrowing to apex ( Fig. 157 View FIGURES 150 – 158. 150 – 153 ); parameres slender, with short setae apically.
Female genitalia: Ovipositor elongate and narrowly triangular, styli highly reduced, each with several long terminal setae ( Fig. 158 View FIGURES 150 – 158. 150 – 153 ).
