( Figures 38–40 View FIGURES 38 – 46. 38 – 40 , 164–168 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 , 297 View FIGURE 297 )

Diagnosis. This species is very similar to S. ruficeps but can be distinguished as follow: margins of humeral spots irregular ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 38 – 46. 38 – 40 ), penis short ( Fig. 165 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ), penis guide longer than parameres with truncate apex ( Figs 166–167 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ). In S. ruficeps , the margins of humeral spots are smooth ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 38 – 46. 38 – 40 ), the penis is long and slender ( Fig. 175 View FIGURES 169 – 177. 169 – 173 ) and the penis guide shorter than parameres with apex rounded ( Figs 176–177 View FIGURES 169 – 177. 169 – 173 ).

Description. TL: 2.18–2.27 mm, TW: 1.91–2.11 mm, TH: 1.01–1.05 mm, TL/TW: 1.08–1.14; PL/PW: 0.43– 0.44; EL/EW: 0.84–0.93; HW/TW: 0.36; PW/TW: 0.61.

Head orange. Dorsal color pattern as follows ( Figs. 38–40 View FIGURES 38 – 46. 38 – 40 ): Pronotum and scutellum brown. Elytra predominantly brown, with yellowish brown lateral margin. Each elytron with 2 large yellowish spots disposed as follows: anterior very large, irregular, at middle of basal margin (touching margin), posterior small, 1/2 size of anterior, resting on apical third. Underside yellow; meso- and metaventrite yellowish brown. Legs yellow. In darker specimens, head reddish brown, pronotum and ground color of elytra nearly dark, spots on elytra red. Underside reddish brown; meso- and metaventrite black brown. Legs reddish brown.

Body almost circular in outline, hemispherical, shiny and glabrous. Head frontal punctures fine with scattered short setae, interocular distance of eyes 0.61x head width ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 38 – 46. 38 – 40 ).

Pronotal punctures very fine but dense, 2.0–3.0 diameters apart. Elytral punctures slightly larger than those on pronotum, 2.0–3.0 diameters apart. Elytral margins narrowly explanate, entirely visible from above.

Prosternal punctures inconspicuous, with long sparse setae. Mesoventral surface mat and slightly shagreened, with sparse short setae. Metaventrite with moderately coarse and sparsely distributed punctate. Elytral epipleuron broad, complete to apex, feebly foveate to accommodate femoral tips of hind legs. Wings well-developed.

Male genitalia: Penis slender, capsule with small inner process and without outer one, apex strongly curved ( Fig. 165 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ); tegmen with penis guide distinctly longer than parameres, in lateral view stout, widest at base, apical third slightly bend, apex pointed ( Fig. 166 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ); penis guide in ventral view short and stout, widest at base, narrowing to apex, apex truncated ( Fig. 167 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ); parameres very slender, almost straight, with short setae apically.

Female genitalia: Ovipositor elongate and triangular, styli highly reduced, each with several long terminal setae ( Fig. 168 View FIGURES 159 – 168. 159 – 163 ).
