Amaurochrous magnus Barber & Sailer, 1953

Distribution: United States: FL, GA ( Barber & Bruner 1932), LA, MA ( Hart 1919), VA ( Van Duzee 1904).

Comments: According to Barber & Sailer (1953), many of the early records of Amaurochrous dubius should be referred to this species. Hoffman (1971) gave the distribution for this species as “Southeastern United States, from Maryland to Louisiana ”; we have not found an authentic published record for Maryland.
