Comments: According to Downes (1935), early records of this species from British Columbia ( Parshley 1921, Torre-Bueno 1925, Downes 1927) should be referred to Neottiglossa tumidifrons ; similarly, the record from Michigan ( Townsend 1891) is also based upon a misidentification and should be referred to Neottiglossa undata ( Hussey 1921, Swanson 2012).
