Material examined. Station 10, 26 -vi-2013, 1 ♂; station 37, 28 -vi-2013, 2 ♂1♀; station 38, 20 -v-2013, 2 ♂.
Comments. The presence of the species in Tunisia was considered doubtful by Jansson (1995) and Carapezza (1997). The present records confirm its occurrence in the country. It was collected in lentic habitats and slowflowing regions of lotic environments, especially in areas rich in floating and marginal vegetation or hydrophytes. It is collected in the same locations than Sigara (Vermicorixa) lateralis , and in one case at the same time.
Distribution. It is known in Western Europe and north-western Africa ( Morocco, Algeria) ( Jansson 1986; Jansson 1995; Aukema et al. 2013).
