Material studied. Holotype mal e ( NRM): N.E. BURMA ( MYANMAR), Kambaiti, 2000 m, 23.iv.1934, R. Malaise. Paratypes ( NRM): Same data as holotype but 7000 ft, 15.iv.1934, 1 ɗ; same data but 1800 m, 23, vi.1934, 1 ɗ; South Shan States, 40 km E of Taung­gyi, 29.ix.­13.x.1934, R. Malaise, 1 ɗ.

Description (male). Head ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 E). Eye bridge 2–3 facets wide. Prefrons with 7 setae, clypeus with 3 setae. Palpomere 1 with 1 seta. Length/width of flagellomere 4 of antenna 1.50. Thorax. Anterior pronotum with 2 setae, episternum 1 with 7 setae. Wing. Length 1.55 mm, width/length 0.45, c/w not measured, R1/R 0.60. r­m non­setose. Legs ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Length of spur/width of front tibia 1.25. Abdomen. Sternite 8 with 21 setae. Hypopygium ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 A–C). Female: Unknown.

Discussion. Keilbachia arrecta is similar to K. indigena Mohrig , described from Papua New Guinea, by having the subapical megasetae of the gonostylus slender ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 ). Keilbachia arrecta differs from K. indigena by having the tegmen simpler, without distinct subbasal shoulders.
