( Figs 10 View FIGURES 1 – 10 , 36 View FIGURES 31 – 36 )

Arenostola delattini Wiltshire, 1953 , Proceedings of the Royal Entomological Society of London 22 (B): 217 (Type locality: “ Persia: c. 5500 ft., nr. Shiraz”).

Material examined. Photographs of the holotype of Arenostola delattini : male, “ 14.vi.50, c. 6000 ft., Shiraz, marshy stream, S.-W. Iran, E.P. Wiltshire, ♂ Arenostola sp. n. ” / “ Arenostola delattini Wilts. ” / “ Holotype ♂” / “Preparation E.P. Wiltshire 477” / “ Type status verified K. Bruckmaster 1996” / “ Holotype ” / “Wiltshire Coll. BM 1979–433.” (Coll. BMNH).

Diagnosis. The species differs from other congeners by monotonous pale, straw yellow wing colouration without pattern, but with slight diffuse brown suffusion on the basal part of forewing and most on the main veins ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ). The male genitalia ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 31 – 36 ) can be differentiated by large, well sclerotised juxta, distally narrowed valva with very small, rounded cucullus and presence of two cornuti on the vesica. Female unknown.

Distribution. Near East ( Iran) ( Wiltshire 1953).
