Type species. Phyllotexta latens sp. nov.
Diagnosis. Tegmen truncate apically, emarginate at RP, produced at M. Costal margin sinuate basally, bent about 1/5 of tegmen length, nearly straight distally. CuA elbowed at apex of rather large basal cell, then closely subparallel to CuP, curved backwards before bifurcation. Claval veins close and subparallel. High carina along distal 1A and commissural margin. Tegmen flat, veins raised; many areoles subdivided lengthwise, areolation in places orthogonal. Main veins (especially Pcu) with sparse spinules. Pronotum multicarinate.
Etymology. From Greek phyllon (leaf) and Latin textum (web, cloth); gender feminine.
