Type species: Pentacentrus pulchellus Saussure, 1878 View in CoL

Diagnosis. Body slender, pubescent. Vertex inclined. Cheeks narrow. Ocelli arranged linearly. Antennal scape as wide as frontal rostrum. Pronotum with anterior field narrower than posterior field. Anterior tibiae only equipped with internal tympanum. Forelegs and midlegs almost equal in length. Tegmen ornamented with dark patches, patchy near the basal field, striped near the apical field. Forewings extending beyond the abdominal tip. Hindwings longer than the forewings.
