Material examined. VIETNAM: 1♀, “Aulac. 015 ” ( IEBR), CH Vietnam : Kon Tum, Chu Mom Ray NP, forest, 14°25’28.1’’N 107°47’16.8’’E, 573 m, sweep, 04.iv.2014, Hoang VT GoogleMaps .

Etymology. Named after the locality (Chu Mom Ray NP, Central Highlands, Central Vietnam), where the holotype was collected.

Diagnosis. Head sharply narrowed behind eyes ( Fig. 6A), and 1.0 × wider than long dorsally; occipital carina complete, lamelliform, slightly angularly concave medially, 0.4 × diameter of an ocellus; latero-ventral margin of pronotum with one acute tooth-like process; fore wing vein 2-Rs+M short, discal cell almost quadrate ( Fig. 6H); fore wing membrane yellow, infuscate apically; large dark brown substigmal spot extending to apex of second discal cell; hind femur 0.8 × length of hind tibia; hind tarsal claw with three tooth-like processes; petiole slender, distinctly widened apically, 3.5 × its apical width; ovipositor 1.1 × fore wing length.

Description. (holotype, ♀), body length: 10.8 mm; antenna length: 6.5 mm; fore wing length: 9.0 mm; ovipositor length: 9.7 mm ( Fig. 5).

Colour. Head black; pubescence silver-white; palpi blackish brown; mandible pale brown basally; scape yellowish; pedicel and flagellomeres dark brown; mesosoma black; fore and middle legs, hind trochanter and trochantellus, hind tarsus yellow, except fore and middle coxa black; hind coxa black; hind femur and tibia yellowish brown medially, yellow basally and apically; fore wing membrane yellow, infuscate apically; large dark brown substigmal spot extending to apex of second discal cell ( Fig. 6H); petiole brown dorsally and ventrally, yellow laterally; metasomal tergites 2–6 yellowish brown dorsally, yellow laterally and ventrally; ovipositor sheath brown; ovipositor pale brown.

Head. Head, from above, sharply narrowed behind eyes ( Fig. 6A), and 1.0 × wider than long dorsally; occipital carina complete, lamelliform, slightly angularly concave medially, 0.4 × diameter of an ocellus; scape 1.1 × length pedicel; first flagellomere as long as scape, and 0.6 × length of second flagellomere; malar space 0.2 × eye length; face and clypeus with dense, fine punctures, pubescence long and sparse ( Fig. 6B); frons densely punctate anteriorly, sparsely punctate posteriorly; temple 0.8 × eye length dorsally; POL: OOL = 7: 7 ( Fig. 6A); vertex and temple with scattered fine punctures; distance between punctures 0.2–0.4 × puncture diameter; occiput area almost smooth.

Mesosoma . Propleuron largely rugulose, pubescence long and rather dense; latero-ventral margin of pronotum with one acute tooth-like process; mesoprescutum in lateral view roundly above pronotum, with narrow and shallow impression medially, dividing transverse-carinate lateral lobes ( Fig. 6D); mesoprescutum coarsely areolate-rugose posteriorly; scutellum almost coriaceous, with sparse punctures; metapostnotum deep, largely crenulate; metapleuron reticulate-rugose, with sparse short pubescence; propodeum areolate-rugose. Fore wing with vein 2-Rs slightly curved subbasally; r: 3-Rs = 13: 25; vein 2-Rs+M short, discal cell more or less quadrate, 2-Rs+M: 2-Ma: 3-Ma: 3-Mb = 1: 28: 10: 10; 1-M: 1m-cu = 14: 23 ( Fig. 6H); hind coxa slender, subapical groove (ovipositor guide) on hind coxa smooth, distance from groove to apex of hind coxa as long as trochanter ( Fig. 5B); hind femur 0.8 × length of hind tibia ( Fig. 6I); inner spur: outer spur = 8: 7 ( Fig. 6G); hind basitarsus 1.3× length of tarsomeres 2–5 combined ( Fig. 6I); hind basitarsus 3.7 × length of second tarsomere; second tarsomere 1.2 × length of third; third tarsomere 2.6 × length of fourth; fourth tarsomere 0.5 × length of fifth; hind tarsal claw with three tooth-like processes ( Fig. 6F).

Metasoma. Pyriform (lateral view), less compressed laterally; petiole slender, distinctly widened apically, 3.5 × its apical width; tergites 2–3 mostly polished and shiny; remaining tergites with fine superficial punctures and short dense setae; ovipositor 1.1 × fore wing length.

Male. Unknown.

Taxonomic remarks. The new species is close to P. corellianus Turrisi & Smith, 2011 , from Laos (Smith 2011: 17), but differs from the latter by having: 1) medium sized species, body length around 11 mm (vs larger, around 15 mm in P. corellianus ); 2) Occipital lamella 0.4 × diameter of ocellus (vs 0.2 × in P. corellianus ); 3) Fore wing vein 2-Rs+M short, discal cell more or less quadrate (vs 2-Rs+M long and discal cell elongate in P. corellianus ); 4) Vein 3-Ma as long as 3-Mb (vs vein 3-Ma distinctly shorter 3-Mb in P. corellianus , cf. Fig. 33 in Turrisi & Smith 2011); 5) ovipositor 1.1 × fore wing length (vs 0.9 × in P. corellianus ).

Biology. Unknown.
