Longitarsus Latreille 1829 View in CoL (2: 155) (sensu Löbl & Smetana, 2010) is the world’s largest genus of Alticini, with about 500 species described. About 150 species are known for the Palaearctic Region, including 93 species

The aim of this paper is to provide new diagnostic characters to clarify the related taxonomy of five species of Longitarsus , and to extend the knowledge of their ranges by listing new collecting localities. The following taxa are discussed:
Longitarsus aphthonoides Weise 1887
Longitarsus callidus Warchalowski 1967
Longitarsus lateripunctatus ( Rosenhauer 1856)
Longitarsus personatus Weise 1893
