Type locality: Russia, Orenburg Area, Sol-Iletsk District, Chybynda ( Farzalieva & Zalesskaja 2003) .
Monotarsobius steppicus Farzalieva & Zalesskaja, 2003: 267 (1 ♂, 2 ♀♀).
Lithobius (Monotarsobius) steppicus — Farzalieva & Esyunin, 2008: 944; Dyachkov et al., 2016: 440 (4 ♂♂, 8 ♀♀).
Previous records. Kazakhstan: East Kazakhstan Region —vicinity of Ulken-Naryn Village [Kz45a] ( Dyachkov et al. 2016).
Habitat records. Steppe on 400 m ( Dyachkov et al. 2016).
Remarks. Known also from S Cisuralia ( Russia, Orenburg Region; habitats: limestone denudation and steppe) ( Farzalieva & Zalesskaja 2003).
