Type species: Macednus marginatus Emeljanov, 1962
Diagnosis. This genus is similar to Albicostella Ishihara, 1953 in appearance, but can be distinguished from the latter by the subgenital plate long with a round apex, the aedeagus laterally compressed, lamellate, and with a long dorsal process arising from the base and bifurcated at the base.
