Etymology. The specific name is an adjective from the Latin word oculatus (eye-shaped), and refers to the anterior part of the epigynal atrium with a pair of eye-shaped depressions.
Diagnosis. This species can be separated from other congeneric species by the epigynum , particularly the pair of eye-shaped depressions and the twisting of the copulatory ducts. The male can be separated from other congeneric species by the shape of the RTA ( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 B–D, 12A–B).
Description. Female (holotype): Total length 6.30. Prosoma 2.60 long, 2.00 wide; opisthosoma 3.60 long, 2.00 wide. Carapace light yellowish brown with sparse grayish black scales. Ocular area grayish black with grayish white scales. Eye measurements: AME 0.09, ALE 0.21, PME 0.19, PLE 0.19, AME-AME 0.12; AME-ALE 0.07; PME-PME 0.31; PME-PLE 0.32. Eye row width measurement: I 0.27, II 0.64, III 1.15, IV 0.64. Clypeus height 0.52. Sternum light yellow; chelicera yellow, labium and endites brown, chelicera with 2 pro- (1 large, 1 small) and 1 small retromarginal teeth. Legs yellow with long spines. Leg measurements: I 9.60 (2.80, 3.50, 2.20, 1.10); II 8.70 (2.60, 3.20, 2.00, 0.90); III 6.75 (2.00, 2.40, 1.60, 0.75); IV 6.95 (2.20, 2.25, 1.70, 0.80), leg formula: 1243. Opisthosoma anteriorly with yellow spots, posteriorly with yellow chevrons; laterally with grayish black stripes; ventrally grayish.
Epigynum ( Figs 10 View FIGURE 10 B–C, 12C–D). Epigynum with a pair of depressions anteriorly, copulatory ducts twisted, spermathecae globular.
Male (paratype, IZCAS-Ar. 19026): Total length 5.40. Prosoma 2.50 long, 2.00 wide; opisthosoma 2.70 long, 1.50 wide. Body color paler than in female. Eye measurements: AME 0.08, ALE 0.20, PME 0.18, PLE 0.17, AME- AME 0.11; AME-ALE 0.06; PME-PME 0.25; PME-PLE 0.28. Eye row width measurement: I 0.27, II 0.57, III 1.10, IV 0.56. Clypeus height 0.40. Leg measurements: I 9.60 (2.60, 3.50, 2.30, 1.20); II 8.85 (2.50, 3.20, 2.15, 1.00); III 7.00 (2.00, 2.40, 1.80, 0.80); IV 7.10 (2.10, 2.20, 1.90, 0.90), leg formula: 1243. Opisthosoma yellow, laterally with grayish black stripes, ventrally gray.
Palp ( Figs 11 View FIGURE 11 B–D, 12A–B). VTA short, digitiform; RTA twisted; conductor and apex of median apophysis sharp.
Variation. Total length: Ƥ 5.50–6.50 (n=17).
Distribution. China (Yunnan).
