Descriptive Notes. Large, ABL at least 9 mm. Pronotum with base broad; widest near middle, well behind marginal setae; hind angle areas flat, densely punctulate. Elytra with striae markedly widened preapically; intervals usually densely punctulate; ABS1 long, well impressed. Femora dark. Median lobe with bulb moderately dilated; apex not distorted. The southern Florida records previously attributed to “ Selenophorus integer (Fabricius) ” were corrected by Shpeley et al. (2017) to be those of the widespread West Indian species S. fabricii .
