Neanura (Endonura) deharvengi: Cassagnau & Péja 1979: 217 .
Type material. Syntypes: adult female and subadult male on slides, Greece, Mount Ossa , leg. P. Cassagnau, coll. P. Cassagnau ( MNHN).
Diagnosis. Habitus typical of the genus Endonura . Dorsal tubercles present and well developed. 2+2 eyes dark pigmented. Buccal cone relatively long, labrum nonogival. Head with chaetae A, B, C, D, E, O, F and G. Tubercles Cl and Af separate. Tubercles Dl and (L+So) on head with 5 and 8 chaetae respectively. Tubercles Di on th. I absent. Tubercles De on th. II and III with 3 and 4 chaetae respectively. Tubercles L on abd. III and IV with 3 and 6 chaetae respectively. Abd. IV and V with 8 and 3 tubercles respectively. Claw without inner tooth. Tibiotarsi with chaetae B4 and B5 not elongate.
Redescription. Habitus typical of the genus. Body length of syntypes (without antennae): 2.10–2.50 mm. Colour of the body white. 2+2 large, darkly pigmented eyes ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ).
Types of dorsal ordinary chaetae. Macrochaetae Ml thickened, relatively long, straight or rarely arc-like, narrowly sheathed, densely serrated, apically rounded or pointed ( Figs 13, 16, 18 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ); macrochaetae Mc and Mcc thickened, straight, pointed or rounded at apex; mesochaetae and microchaetae short, thin and pointed.
a) Cephalic chaetotaxy––dorsal side.
b) Cephalic chaetotaxy––ventral side.
c) Chaetotaxy of antennae.
d) Postcephalic chaetotaxy.

Labium with four basal, three distal and four lateral chaetae, papillae x absent. Maxilla styliform, mandible thin with 2 basal and 2 apical teeth. Chaetotaxy of antennae as in Fig. 17 View FIGURES 13 – 18 and Tab. 2 View TABLE 2 c. Apical vesicle distinct, trilobed. S-chaetae of ant. IV of medium length, subequal and moderately thickened. Chaetotaxy of head as in Tab. 2 View TABLE 2 a, b, and Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 18 . Head with chaetae A, B, C, D, E, O, F and G. Tubercles Cl and Af separate. Chaetae D and E free. Tubercle Dl with 5 chaetae, chaeta Dl3 absent. Tubercle (L+So) with 8 chaetae, chaetae So2 and L3 absent. Elementary tubercle BE absent ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Chaeta A shorter than B. Chaetae Ocp slightly longer than A.
Thorax, abdomen, legs. Body s-chaetae thin and smooth, distinctly shorter than nearby macrochaetae ( Figs 13, 16 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Chaetotaxy of th. and abd. as in Tab. 3 View TABLE 3 d and in Figs 13, 15–16, 18 View FIGURES 13 – 18 . Tubercles Di on th. I not developed. Tubercles De on th. II and III with 3 and 4 chaetae respectively. Chaetae De2 on th. II–III and De3 on th. III connected with tubercle De ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Chaetae De3 on abd. I–III connected with tubercle De. Chaetae De2 on th. III and abd. I–III shorter than De3. The line of chaetae De1–chaeta s perpendicular to the dorsomedian line on abd. I–III ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Furca rudiment without microchaetae. Tubercles Di on abd. V fused. Tubercle L on abd. IV with one chaeta free ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13 – 18 ). Chaetae L' and Vl on abd. V present. No cryptopygy. Chaetotaxy of legs as in Tab. 3 View TABLE 3 d. Claw without inner tooth. Tibiotarsi with chaetae B4 and B5 not elongate.
Discussion. Several characters, such as the white body and complete chaetotaxy of central area of head, are suggestive of relationship with E. levantica Smolis, Deharveng et Kaprus’, 2011 (species found in Israel). Nevertheless, E. deharvengi can be easily identified by the larger body size (in deharvengi 2.10–2.50 mm, in levantica 0.77–0.84 mm), the presence of 5 chaetae Dl on head (in levantica 6), the length ratio of chaetae Di1:Di2:Di3 of abd. V (in deharvengi 37:23:6, in levantica 44:11:2) and the absence of microchaetae on furca rudiment (in levantica present).
