Redescription. Female. Micropterous; length 3.3 mm. Completely testaceous. Antenna geniculated, filiform, without rhinaria, slightly shorter than head + mesosoma + metasoma (43:52); antennal segments in following proportions: 24:6:8.5:11:11:11:10:10:9:11. Head ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A) shiny, alutaceous, covered with short hairs, unsculptured, with dorsal side flat; anterior region of dorsal side little tapering; occipital carina complete; ocelli absent; eye ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 A) small, approximately 0,2 as long as head (6:30); region of face from clypeus to antennal toruli with two hardly visible convergent longitudinal and median sutures. Maxillary palpi missing in only known female specimen; labial palpi 2-segmented. Pronotum shiny, alutaceous, covered with short hairs, with two fine lateral incomplete carinae beginning at posterior border and reaching about 0.5 × length of pronotum; pronotal tubercle reaching tegula. Scutum subrectangular, very short, alutaceous, without tracks of median furrow. Notauli absent. Parapsidal lines hardly visible near lateral margins of scutum. Scutellum ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B) subcircular, very short, alutaceous. Metanotum reduced, transverse, very short ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 B). Meso-metapleural suture complete. Mesopleuron and metapleuron dull, rugose, transversely striate. Propodeum dull, reticulate rugose, with spiracles normally prominent, with two lateral pointed apophyses on sides of posterior surface; dorsal surface without median depression situated at border between anterior and posterior surface ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 C). Dorsal surface apparently without two lateral carinae connecting spiracles to pronotal tubercles, by running laterally to metanotum, scutellum and scutum. Fore wing strongly reduced, approximately as short as tegula. Hind wing absent. Petiole short. Tibial spurs 1/2/2.
Male. Fully winged; length 1.6–3.4 mm. Head testaceous, with ocellar triangle darkened; antenna testaceous, with segments 3–10 darkened; mesosoma testaceous, except propodeum darkened; metasoma brown; legs testaceous. Antenna not geniculated, filiform, not thickened distally, without rhinaria; antennae articulated to prominent contiguous processes; antennal segments in following proportions: 9:3:9:10:10:9:9:8:8:9. Head shiny, usually unsculptured, occasionally dull and granulated, covered with short hairs, with dorsal side swollen; occipital carina complete; ocelli distinct; POL = 2,5; OL = 2; OOL = 4; OPL = 2; TL = 7; faces without track of median furrow; eye small, approximately 0,5 as long as head (7:16); region of face from clypeus to antennal toruli with two hardly visible longitudinal very convergent and median sutures. Maxillary palpi with four or six segments; labial palpi with two or three segments (palpal formula 4/2, or 6/2, or 6/3.). Pronotum very short. Scutum shiny, finely punctate, unsculptured among punctures, covered with short hairs. Occasionally scutum dull and granulated. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.3 × length of scutum. Parapsidal lines distinct. Scutellum dull, rugose. Metanotum shiny, short, transverse. Propodeum dull, reticulate rugose; dorsal surface with track of two median and longitudinal keels from anterior margin to posterior surface. Mesopleuron dull, rugose. Mesometapleural suture distinct and complete. Metapleuron shiny, smooth, unsculptured. Fore wing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; 1 SDC cell open. In small (length 1,6 mm) specimen from Sarawak, 04°13’N 114°56’E, 1DC and 1SDC cells completely open, because not enclosed by pigmented veins. Proximal membranous process of paramere without papillae or sensorial filaments, at most with short hairs ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 B). In specimen from Taiwan, Dehuashe, proximal membranous process of paramere with small area provided of mosaic drawing. Tibial spurs 1/ 2/2.

Hosts. Unknown.
Distribution. Brunei, India, Indonesia, Japan (Ryukyu Islands) (new record), Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, P.R. China, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam ( Xu et al. 2012a).
Remarks. Two male paratypes of E. krombeini from Mangole Island (Sula Islands, Indonesia), designated by Olmi (1996) and deposited in RMNH were afterwards attributed to E. pecki Olmi 1997 .
