Material examined. Type series: Holotype ♂, NHMB 4705 , " Kongsbergia dentata Typus ♂, Kaltbrunnental , Kiesbank , 24.10.1943, Walter XV/44"; paratypes, same data as holotype: NHMB 4706 ♀ "XV/45", NHMB 4706 dn "XV/46".

Germany: Harz, SMF 44617 (0/1/0), D 486 (1/0/0). France: Corsica, F 39 Int (0/2/0). Italy: Reggio Emilia, I 1375 (1/1/0); Sardinia, I 389 Int (0/1/0); Sicily, I 493 (1/1/0), I 514 Int (2/1/0), I 515 Int (0/0/1)?, I 550 Int (0/1/0), I 646 Int (0/1/1); Switzerland: Ticino, Rensburg coll. NHMB 4710 (0/1/0).

First records from Italy.

Remarks. This species is not confusable due to the characteristics of the palp (in both sexes slender, P-4 L/H ratio 3.7–4.3, P- 4 in males with a pointed projection, in females P-2 without ventral projections and P-4 ventral setae inserting distally). Furthermore, the male IV-L is characteristic (IV-L-4 distal setae pectinate, one of these very long; IV-L-5 proximal and central ventral setae near centre of segment, distoventral seta short, peg-like; IV-L- 6 with smooth ventral margin smooth). A small dent on the anterolateral margin of the Cx-I is name-giving.
