Distribution. Jinci (Qian & Yuan 1980; Ma et al. 1984); Jinzhong (Ma et al. 1984; Zhang et al. 2006); Shanxi ( Wang 1981 b; Chen 1999; Pu et al. 2010; Wu 2000; Pu et al. 2010, Wang et al. 2010; Hong 2013); Taiyuan (Ma et al. 1984); Xinzhou (Qian & Yuan 1980; Zhang et al. 2006); Xiaxian (Qian & Yuan 1980; Ma et al. 1984; Zhang et al. 2006); Yuncheng (Qian & Yuan 1980; Zhang et al. 2006; Liu et al. 2010).

Remarks. Wang and Liu (1953) recorded this species as Tetranychus bimaculatus   which is a junior synonym of Tetranychus urticae   . Tetranychus cinnabarinus (Boisduval, 1867)   has long been treated as a species until Auger et al. (2013) who synonymized it with Tetranychus urticae   .
