Diagnosis – Dicerogastracostigerodes canbedistinguishedfromallother easternAsiaticcongenersbythebroadandunicolorousochreous- beigefore- wingcostalstriPe; thecostalareaofallthreeotherrelativesisnotoronly slightlyPalerthanthemedianareaofthewing, andsuffusedwithvariably darkbrown- grey. Thewhitishsubterminallineisalmoststraightattheme- dian veins (between M 1 –M 3) in D. costigerodes and D. ferrisparsa while this sectionofthesubterminallineisangledinwardsin D. euxoides sP. n. and D. jensergabori sP. n., makingthesubterminallinesinuousinthelattertwosPe- cies. TheantemedialandPostmedialcrosslinesarelessdistinct, lessstrongly sinuousthanintheeXternallymostsimilar D. ferrisparsa andtheforewingsare somewhatnarrower, moreelongated, withmorePointedaPeX.

Themalegenitaliaof D. costigerodes ( Figs 17–18 View Figs 15–20 ) differfromthoseof D. ferrisparsa ( Figs 15–16 View Figs 15–20 ) bythesmallerandmoreroundedcucullussittingon longerandstraighterneck, muchlongerPin- likebasalsetaeofharPe, slen- dereramPullarProcessandtheratherS-shaPedvesicaarmedbymuchshort- ercornutifieldsituatedmedially; from D. euxoides bythelargerandmore roundedcucullushavingthinnerneck, muchshorterandthinnerbasalsetae ofharPe, finer, moreventrallyProjectingamPullarProcess, andtheconsider- ablylonger, moremediallylocatedcornutifieldonthemoreS-shaPedvesica.

ThefemalegenitaliaofthefourHimalayan- Sino- Tibetan Dicerogastra sPecies ( Figs 25–29 View Figs 25–29 ) arerathersimilar, withclearlyrecognisablesPecificdifferences. ThetwosouthernHimalayansPecies, D. costigerodes and D. ferrisparsa , haveshorterantrum, somewhatthickenedPosteriorandlongitudinally ribbedanteriorPartofductusbursae, andthebasalandmedialsectionsofthe innercurveofaPPendiX (cerviX) bursaeisalsosclerotised-ribbed ( seetheFigs 25–26 View Figs 25–29 ). ThesPecificdifferencesbetweenthemarefoundinthesizeandshaPe ofthesefeatures: D. costigerodes hasmoreelongatedantrum, lessdilatedPos- teriorendandshorterbutmoredenselyribbedanteriorsectionofductusbur- sae, andtheaPPendiXbursaeisonlybasallyribbed, withoutsclerotisedarea inthemedialPartofitsinnercurve.

InthetwoChinesesPecies, theantrumislonger, theductusbursaeis smoothlysclerotisedinitsentirelength, withoutlongitudinalribsatjunction tocorPusbursaebutwithastrong, sclerotisedfold, theinnercurveofaPPen- diXbursaeisgenerallymembranousbuttheaPicalsectionmaybesclerotised ( Figs 27–29 View Figs 25–29 ).
