“ Eumorpha analis View in CoL View at ENA ” species complex
Diagnosis
Habitus. Forewing with discal bar reduced to a trapezoidal spot located near the end of the proximal half of the wing; hindwing with dark brown discal spot and anal area ranging from pink to beige.
Male genitalia. Sacculus is shorter than the length of the half of the valva, saccular process with a dorsally curved spine apex, with slight or marked constriction in the distal half or third. This complex contains four species: Eumorpha analis Rothschild & Jordan, 1903 , Euemorpha intermedia ( Clark, 1917) , Eumorpha megeaecus (Ḩbner, 1819), Eumorpha satellitia Linnaeus, 1771 and three subspecies E. satellitia excessus ( Gehlen, 1926) , Eumorpha satellitia licaon (Cramer, [1776]) , Eumorpha satellitia posticatus (Grote, 1865) . In this study, E. analis , Eumorpha aff. analis (a), Eumorpha aff. analis (b) and E. megeaecus were analyzed.
