Type locality: Colombia .

Characterization. Wingspan ranges from 13.3 cm, the length of the forewing is 6.28 cm and the length of the hindwing is 3.62 cm.
Head: with medium brown spot; brown palpi with the white distal region.
Thorax: brownish, tegulae in dark brown triangular shape, dark brown median band.
Forewing: dorsal view: slightly striated, discal bar extending from the base of the wing to the middle of the wing, lighter in the basal region and darker in the distal region; a discal band with margin facing the basal rectilinear region and margin towards the apical curvilinear region, leaving the external margin to encounter the discal spot. "Y" spot coming out of the costal margin diagonally to the outer margin with a whitish contour in the area facing the basal region, separating the darker apical margin. Subapical patch with semi-lunar shape and without contour. Presence of two dark spots in the post-discal area and close to the "Y" spot; a triangular spot on the inner margin without contour. Submarginal band with four undulations, the two central ones are more widely spaced than those at the ends of uniform whitish color, ventral view: predominantly light brown, a spot in a gradient of light brown to beige color, non-uniform, which goes from the apex at the end of the outer margin against the inner margin, having a triangular projection towards the submarginal area in the middle of the outer margin, followed by smaller undulations, it has a striation that extends from the inner margin to the costal margin dividing the post-discal area of the submarginal area.
Hindwing: Yellowish basal spot extending to the discal area, discal spot extending to the apical area, outer margin with the lighter region having two dark spots, ventral view: predominantly brownish, which may vary to more orange tones, with a greenish spot that goes from the base, passing through the inner margin ending at the anal angle, two striations extending from the inner margin to the costal margin, one smooth separating the disc from the post-discal area and the other serrated, separating the post-discal area from the submarginal area.
Abdomen: dorsally, with grayish scales, pair of median spots in segment I-VII, a median spot in segment VIII, ventrally, with brown scales.
Male genitalia: Uncus single sickle-shaped.Valva, uniform width, internal margin with a sinuous curve, rounded apex. Sacculus, less than half the size of the valva, with a triangular shape. The saccular process has a serrated shape at the base of the spine. Sac, symmetrical with anterior projection, forming a light tip at the apex. the aedeagus, approximately the same size as the valva, is cylindrical and uniform in shape, with an elongated projection at the apex.
Diagnosis.
Habitus. Similar to E. orientis . Differentiated only by the genitalia, the valva has a sinuous curve ( Fig 11b, f View FIGURE 11 ), a sacculus smaller than half the length of the valva, saccular process with a serrated inner end ( Fig 11c, g View FIGURE 11 ).
