Material examined. Rif: Chefchaouen, Laou v.: Ouara Khizana r., Rills spr., 930 m, 15.05.2007, 1 male, 5N (ERR).

Distribution ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ). A North African species occurring in the Maghreb from Tunisia to Morocco, listed both from the Rif by Sánchez-Ortega & Azzouz (1998), Errochdi & El Alami (2008) and Errochdi et al. (2014), in the Middle and High Atlas by Dakki (1987), Touabay et al. (2002) and Vinçon et al. (2014).

Ecology. Larvae occur in high mountain brooks and torrents between 900 m in the Rif and 1900 m in the High Atlas ( Aubert 1956, 1961, Sánchez-Ortega & Azzouz 1998, Errochdi & El Alami 2008, Errochdi et al. 2014 and Vinçon et al. 2014). The emergence period is mainly in winter and spring (I–VI).
