Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Tengchong County, Tengyue Township, Baofeng Temple , 25.01814°N, 98.41870°E, alt. 1790m, 31 May 2006, Chang-min Yin, Jia-fang Hu, Ming-wei Yang and Shao-xian He leg. Etymology. This epithet derives from the type locality.
Diagnosis. See diagnosis of Gracilentus serrata sp. nov..
Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 127A, B View FIGURE 127 ): Total length: 2.79. Carapace 1.07 long, 0.86 wide, brown; cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.19 high. Sternum longer than wide, brown, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long,
distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae sclerotized, dark brown, with five promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.06, PME 0.06, PLE 0.07, AME–AME 0.04, PME–PME 0.06, AME–ALE, 0.02, PME–PLE 0.05, AME–PME 0.08, ALE–ALE 0.30, PLE–PLE 0.34, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 4.3 (1.24, 1.41, 1.07, 0.58), II 4.19 (1.17, 1.39, 1.07, 0.56), III 2.96 (0.91, 0.91, 0.75, 0.39), IV 3.73 (1.11, 1.14, 0.99, 0.49). Leg formula I-II-IV-III. Tm I and Tm IV present. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. Abdomen 1.72 long, 1.19 wide, oval, pale, mid dorsally with a longitudinal pale band, dorso-laterally with a dark grey pattern followed by four transverse chevrons, ventral side pale.
Epigyne ( Fig. 126A–C View FIGURE 126 ): Ventral plate, longer than wide, protruding above the epigastric furrow posteriorly, posterior margin depressed transversely; copulatory openings present at the posterior margin of the ventral plate. Vulva: Dorsal plate D-shaped; copulatory ducts sclerotized, fused, protruding above the spermathecae anteriorly; spermathecae elliptical, pointing towards the posterior lateral wall of ventral plate, separated by a distance of 2/3 their diameter; fertilization ducts small, extending mesally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 128 View FIGURE 128 ).
