Etymology. This epithet derives from the Latin adjective “ acer ”, meaning “sharp” and referring to the distal suprategular apophysis distally with a long and sharp projection in the male palp.

Diagnosis. See genus diagnosis.

Description. Male (holotype, Fig. 4A, B View FIGURE 4 ): Total length: 2.81. Carapace 1.00 long, 0.89 wide; cephalic lobe round and densely covered with thick microsetae, yellowish-brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct; cephalic pits very prominent, present behind the posterior lateral eyes. Clypeus 0.23 high. Sternum longer than wide, brown, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium longer than wide. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with four promarginal and five retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.10, PME 0.08, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE, 0.07, PME–PME 0.06, PME–PLE 0.08, AME–PME 0.05, ALE–ALE 0.42, PLE–PLE 0.45, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 5.25 (1.52, 1.60, 1.32, 0.81), II 5.05 (1.48, 1.59, 1.21, 0.77), III 3.96 (1.19, 1.16, 1.02, 0.59), IV 4.89 (1.39, 1.49, 1.29, 0.72). Leg formula I-II-IV-III. Tm I 0.63 and Tm IV 0.52. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. Abdomen 1.81 long, 1.21 wide, oval, dusky gray, mid dorsally with distinct black pattern extending laterally and posteriorly, ventral side dusky gray.

Palp ( Figs 1A–D View FIGURE 1 , 2A–G View FIGURE 2 ): Tibia conic, with two reterolateral and one dorsal trichobothria; reterolateral tibial apophysis with distal end bifurcated; paracymbium sclerotized, J-shaped, distal arm with hook-shaped tip, dorsal and ventral surfaces with spines; subtegulum and tegulum highly sclerotized; tegulum with transparent pear-shaped protegulum; embolic membrane originating from the ventral margin of the radix; suprategulum highly sclerotized, dark black, longer than wide, distal suprategular apophysis robust, curved, ventrally with one long and one small projection with sharp edge; radix relatively small, round, inconspicuous on undissected palp; embolus directly originated from the radix, relatively long with fine tip.

Female (one of paratypes, Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ): Total length: 2.72. Carapace 1.04 long, 0.84 wide, yellowish-brown, mid dorsally slightly elevated; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.14 high. Sternum wider than long, brown, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with five promarginal and six retromarginal teeth. Eye region narrow, AER recurved, PER slightly procurved, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.05, ALE 0.09, PME 0.07, PLE 0.07, AME–AME 0.03, PME–PME 0.05, AME– ALE, 0.03, PME–PLE 0.06, AME–PME 0.04, ALE–ALE 35, PLE–PLE 0.39, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 5.14 (1.41, 1.63, 1.33, 0.77), II 5.04 (1.36, 1.58, 1.32, 0.71), III 3.83 (1.13, 1.16, 0.99, 0.55), IV 4.68 (1.34, 1.42, 1.29, 0.63). Leg formula I-II-IV-III. Tm I 0.56 and Tm IV 0.39. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-1-1. Abdomen 1.68 long, 0.97 wide, oval, dusky gray, mid dorsally with distinct black pattern extending laterally and posteriorly, ventral side dusky gray.

Epigyne ( Fig. 3A–C View FIGURE 3 ): Epigynal plate wider than long, with a median septum narrowing posteriorly, connected with dorsal plate posteriorly; copulatory openings present beneath the median septum anteriorly; dorsal plate sclerotized, wider than long. Vulva with long, thick, sinuous copulatory ducts; spermathecae round, separated by a distance of more than median septum; fertilization ducts long extending mesally.
