Remarks. The aedeagus of A. amabilis was several times illustrated without showing the internal structures by several authors: Steel (1957: 162, Figs. 26, 29), Tóth (1976a: 86, Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–3 ) and Zanetti (1979: 550 (Fig. 550), 1987: 164 (Fig. 34f), 2012: 102 (Fig. 50c)). The aedeagus is comparatively variable in its general shape, shape of apical portion of the median lobe, location of six sclerotized elongate structures within the apical part of the internal sac, as well as in different angle between apical horn-shaped projections, which can be narrow ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 4–8 ) or markedly wide ( Steel 1957, Fig. 26). Habitus as in Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–3 ; outline of the forebody as in Steel (1957: 162, Fig. 23). Ground sculpture of the pronotum as in Steel (1957: 158, Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9–14 ). Posterior femur and trochanter as in Steel (1957: 158, Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–3 ).
Acrolocha amabilis View in CoL is distributed in the mainland Europe from the Netherlands and France through countries of the Middle Europe to Ukraine, European part of Russia and Caucasus ( Schülke & Smetana 2015; etc.). The record of “ Omalium amabile View in CoL ” by Kraatz (1857: 999) for Turkey (“….Kleinasien”), later subsequently replicated in check-lists and catalogues, needs confirmation. It is here recorded for the Central European part of Russia and Georgia for the first time.
