Dysoxylum pettigrewianum F.M.Bailey in Bot. Bull. Dept. Agric., Queensland 5: 9. 1892 – Holotype: Australia, Queensland, base of Bellenden Ker Range, Cowley s.n. (BRI barcode BRI-AQ0023121!).

Distribution. – Moluccas and New Guinea to NE Australia and Solomon Is.

Notes. – See also Mabberley (2013b: 27). Morphologically much resembling Epicharis . This is the Cairns satinwood of commerce.
