Dorsum with serrate setae, 55–70 long, arranged as in Fig. 91A View FIGURE 91 . Antero-lateral and medio-lateral parts of idiosoma with 53–65 pairs of setae, posterior part with 4–6 pairs of peripheral setae, medial part with 2 pairs of dorso-median setae dm1 and dm2. Eyes present. Venter. Setae vm1 with barely discernible serration, setae vm2 and vm3 serrate. Sometimes 1–5 pairs of serrate setae situated laterally present. Genital slit situated dorsally. Genital series represented by 3 pairs of spine-like setae g1–g3. Setae g1 and g2 minute, 5–10 long; setae g3 conspicuous, 15–30 long. Pseudanal series represented by 3 pairs of slightly serrate setae ps1–ps3, 35–55, 55–70 and 60–70 long, respectively. Legs chaetotaxy: setae of trochanters I–IV (1–1–1–1), femora I–IV (3–1–1–0), genua I–IV (1–0–0–0), tibiae I–IV (5–3–3–2[3]). All setae on each podomere filiform, except for slightly serrate setae d’FI–III. Setation of tarsi as in group B: I 12 setae (ft, tc’, tc”, p’, p”, a’, a”, it’, it”, u’, u”, vs’) and solenidion ω1; II 8 setae (tc’, p’, p”, it’, it”, u’, u”, vs’) and ω1; III and IV with 8 setae each (tc’, p’, p”, a’, a”, u’, u”, vs’). Setae tc’ of legs II–IV and a’, a”, u’, u”, vs’ of legs I–IV smooth.

MALE (based on description presented in Jack 1962a). Gnathosoma as in female. Idiosoma 285 long and 325 wide. Dorsum with about 22 pairs of antero-lateral serrate setae, 35–45 long; 3 pairs of slightly serrate dorso-median setae: dm1 and dm2 35–40 long, dm3 10 long; and 2 pairs of slightly serrate peripheral setae, 40–45 long. Eyes present. Venter as in female. Aedeagus about 110 long, directed forward. Genito-anal opening with 4 pairs of filiform setae. Venter as in female. Legs I–IV as in female.

DEUTONYMPH (based on original description presented in Jack 1962a). Chelicerae about 135 long; swollen cheliceral part about 60 long, slender distal part about 75 long. Idiosoma 430 long and 465 wide. Dorsum with about 23 pars of serrate setae, 50–60 long. Antero-lateral and medio-lateral parts of idiosoma with 14–18 pairs of slightly serrate setae, posterior part with 4–6 pairs of peripheral setae and medial part with 3 pairs of dorso-median setae dm1–dm3. Eyes present. Venter as in female. Genital series represented by 1 pair of minute setae g1 about 5 long. Pseudanal series represented by 2 pairs of smooth seta e ps1 and ps2. Legs as in female.

PROTONYMPH (based on 2 specimens from Draco spilopterus ). Gnathosoma . Chelicerae 80–85 long; swollen cheliceral part and slender distal part subequal in length. Fixed cheliceral digit with several tines. Palpal femur and genu with smooth setae dF and dG subequal in length, 20–25 long. Palpal tibia and tarsi as in female. Subcapitular setae n absent. Hypostome with small denticles present at apex. Idiosoma 175–305 long and 375–400 wide. Dorsum with 26 pairs of serrate setae, 40–50 long; most of them situated laterally, 2 of them situated medially (dm1, dm2) and 3 of them situated posteriorly. Eyes present. Venter. Setae vm1 filiform, vm2 and vm3 serrate. Genital slit situ- ated mainly dorsally; 3 pairs of serrate pseudanal setae ps1–ps3 present. Setae ps1 and ps3 25–30 long, ps2 50 long. Legs as in female, but only with 2 ventral setae on tibiae IV.

LARVA (based on description presented in Jack 1962a, amended). Gnathosoma as in female. Chelicerae about 50 long; swollen cheliceral part about 30 long, slender cheliceral part about 20 long. Idiosoma 170 long and 275 wide. Dorsum with about 13 pairs of slightly serrate setae, 20–30 long, arranged as in Fig. 32A View FIGURE 32 . Eyes present. Genital setae absent. Pseudanal series represented by 2 pairs of pseudanal setae ps1 and ps2, about 30 long. Legs I–III as in female.

Non-type material (examined). Four females and 2 protonymphs (NHM no. 1966.22.198–207) from Draco spilopterus (Wiegmann) (Sauria: Agamidae ) (NHM no. 1894.10.24.5), PHILIPPINES: NE Luzon Island, Isabela province, 24 October 1894, coll. A. Everett; 4 females (NHM. no. 1966.2.22.193–197) from Draco maculates (Gray) , INDIA, coll. Dr M. A. Smith.

Type material deposition. All type material deposited in the NHM is lost (J. Beccaloni, personal communication) .

Hosts and distributions. This species is known from Draco lineatus from Indonesia [Seram, Java and Amboina]; Draco reticulatus from Indonesia [ Flores], Draco beccari from Indonesia [South Sulawesi Province, Djikoro and Celebes]; Draco blandfordi from Peninsular Malaysia; Draco ornatus from Philippines [Dinagat]; Draco volans from “East Indies”; Draco cornatus Malaysia [Borneo; Sarawak]; Draco spilopterus from Philippines [Luzon and Isabella]; Draco timorensis from Indonesia and Draco maculates from India [Abor hills] ( Jack 1962a).

Remarks. In the description of leg setation in Pterygosoma draconensis (see Jack 1964) some inaccuracies were observed: minute (about 5 long) setae vGI are present in two specimens, in remaining six specimens only alveoli occur (vs. lack of setae on genua I in Jack’s description), setae dFIV are absent (vs. presence of setae dFIV) and setae dTiIV are absent in seven specimens (vs. presence of setae dTiIV).

The neotype is not designated for this species because the specimens are not taken from type hosts and locality (see Article 75.3.6 of the ICZN 1999, 2012).
