Diagnosis. Palps not more than 4 times longer than wide. Antero-lateral setae numerous (39–139 pairs). Setae dm1 paddle-shaped. Setae dm3 absent. Peripheral setae paddle-shaped or leaf-like and arranged in 1 row. Genital series represented by 1 or 3 pairs of setae g. Pseudanal series represented by 4 or 6 pairs of obovate-shaped setae ps.

Included species. Pterygosoma blandfordi Fajfer 2016 and Pterygosoma foliosetis Jack, 1961 .

Distribution. These species are known only from Indian Subcontinent.

Host range. The mites are associated exclusively with lizards of the genus Psammophilus (Agamidae) .
