Pterygosoma armatum Lawrence, 1936: 30 , fig. 31

Type host: Agama armata (Sauria: Agamidae ). Type locality: South Africa (Weenen).

Diagnosis (based on original description made by Lawrence 1936). FEMALE. Idiosoma . Dorsum with about 70 pairs of antero-lateral setae, 7 pairs of postero-lateral apically expanded setae, 2 pairs of dorso-median setae: dm1 fine-pointed, dm2 apically expanded and 21–26 pairs of peripheral setae of 2 types: apically expanded setae with striations (18−23 pairs) situated medially and fine-pointed setae (2−3 pairs) situated laterally. Eyes absent. Venter with setae vm1−vm3. Genital slit situated terminally. Genital series represented by 1 pair of spine-like setae g1 situated ventrally. Setae ps1 and ps2 cylindrical and much longer than broad.

MALE. Unknown.

Type material (not examined). Female holotype and 6 female paratypes from Agama armata Peters (Sauria: Agamidae ), SOUTH AFRICA, KwaZulu-Natal province, Weenen.

Type material deposition. All type material deposited in the SAM is lost (Dawn Larsen, personal communication) .

Host and distribution. This species is known only from Agama armata from South Africa [KwaZulu-Natal province, Weenen] ( Lawrence 1936).
