Group: mutabilis

Diagnosis. Palps not more than 4 times longer than wide. Antero-lateral setae numerous (80–120 pairs). Setae dm1 tapered. Setae dm3 absent. All peripheral setae flattened and fine-pointed, and arranged in two rows: dorsal and terminal. Dorsal row with 4 setae: 2 near lateral parts of idiosoma , 1 near genital region and 1 between these. Three pairs of genital setae g1–g3 and 4–9 pairs of tapered pseudanal setae ps present.

Included species. Pterygosoma mutabilis Jack, 1961 and P. pallidum Fajfer, Melnikov and Dabert, 2016 .

Distribution. These species are found in the northern parts of the Arabian Peninsula and Africa.

Host range. This group is exclusively associated with agamid lizards of the genus Trapelus (Agamidae) .
