Diagnosis. Dashymenia kotejai is recognized by the following combination of characters: body suboval; pronotum with yellow, broad stripes laterally, occupying nearly one third of the dorsal surface of pronotum ( Fig. 9 ); left paramere with distinct, triangular process, directed inward (Wolski & Gorczyca 2006: Figs. 3 ); endosoma weakly sclerotized (Wolski & Gorczyca 2006: Fig. 4 ).

Most similar to D. cognata , D. conspersa , and D. webbi in sharing similar coloration of the dorsum and the lateral margin of pronotum. D. kotejai can, however, be easily distinguished by a more ovoid body, the broader stripes at sides of pronotum, and the shape of the male genitalia.

Distribution ( Fig. 65 ). Indonesia (Sulawesi: Utara: Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park).

Type material. Holotype 3: Plot A M.T. (raised) 20–27 /iii/ 85 [handwritten]; Indonesia, Sulawesi Utara, Dumoga-Bone N.P. March 1985 ( BMNH); paratypes: 1 3: the same data as holotype; 1 3: Toraut. In forest, 31 Trap days; Indonesia, Sulawesi Utara, Dumoga-Bone N. P. 9–16 May 1985; Malaise trap (1 3 coll. BMNH, 1 3 coll. US).
