Hyantiaria Distant 1905b: 478 .
Type genus. Fidicina Amyot & Audinet-Serville 1843: 472 .
Diagnosis. The tribe was redefined in Marshall et al. (2018) with the reassignement of multiple genera. The most significant diagnostic characters are the large inner protuberance on the hindcoxae, timbal covers that are reduced dorsally, no angulate development of the lateral pronotum, well developed pygofer distal shoulders, an uncus with a large median lobe forming a dorsal crest that is never bifurcated, and the aedeagus is restrained by ventral apophyses on the lateral branches of the uncus ( Marshall et al. 2018).
