Type species. Allorchestes plumulosa Stimpson, 1857
Diagnosis. Antenna 2, peduncular article 5 and flagellum strongly plumose-setose. Coxa 1 with posterior marginal cusp. Gnathopod 2, carpal lobe vestigial, if present, small and thin. Pereopods 3–7, dactylus small, medial seta distinct. Uropod 1, peduncle with strong distomedial spine. Uropod 3, inner ramus fused to peduncle.

Ptilohyale barbicornis ( Hiwatari & Kajihara, 1981) ; P. barnardi (Chevreux, 1926) ; P. bisaeta ( Kim & Kim, 1991) ; P. brevicrus sp. nov.; P. crassicornis (Haswell, 1879) ; P. eburnea (Krapp-Schickel, 1974) ; P. explorator (Arresti, 1989) ; P. iole (Barnard, 1970) ; P. littoralis (Stimpson, 1853) ; P. plumicornis (Heller, 1866) ; P. plumulosus ( Stimpson, 1857) ; P. ptilocerus ( Derzhavin, 1937) ; P. tristanensis (Macnae, 1953) .
