45. Leptotrombidium ului sp. nov.

Leptotrombidium (Leptotrombidium) langati var. ului Vercammen-Grandjean and Langston, 1976: 357 , pl. 67.

Diagnosis. SIF = 7B-B-2-2111.0000; fPp = N/N/BNN; Pc = 2; Gn = 2; fSc: PL> AM ≥ AL; SB/PL; fCx = 1.1.1; fSt = 2.2; fD = 2H-8-6-6-4-2; DS = 28; VS = 24; NDV = 52; Ip = 775–792; AW 64–66, PW 69–72, SB 28–30, ASB 27–29, PSB 10–12, SD 39–40, AP 27–30, AM 45–53, AL 50–52, PL 54–58, S 70–72, H 54–56, D min 46, D max 54– 56, V min 33, V max 51, pa 271–276, pm 233–238, pp 269–278. Eyes 2 + 2. SB 3–5 µm anterior to level of PLs. Dorsal idiosomal setae moderately covered with 3 rows of rather small barbs (barbed tripectinala). Flagelliform sensilla with small cilia in proximal half and 21 long branches in distal half ( Vercammen-Grandjean & Langston 1976).

Type material (not examined). Holotype larva (No 12247-1) from Leopoldamys sabanus (Thomas) , MALAYSIA: Selangor State, Ulu Langat, 28 November 1949, coll. J. R. Audy. Four paratypes larvae from L. sabanus , Sundamys muelleri (Jentink) , and Rattus tiomanicus (Miller) (= Rattus jalorensis Bonhote ), 18 November–19 December 1949, other data same. Type series is deposited in IMR.

Etymology. Species epithet refers to the type locality (Ulu Langat or Hulu Langat, in modern spelling).
